Goal Setting and Rewards System
So I’m not a spreadsheet or chart maker. I love looking at them but i haven’t the slightest clue how to do something like this. So, I am going to list my goals here. I am also going to list the rewards that I will give myself when I reach these goals.
I was thinking about this today and after reading a post by Jess on setting small reachable goals to get to your ultimate goal I was inspired to do my goal setting.
I started this journey at 248 lbs so I’m going to set my weight goals from there. These are just my weight related goals. I will have a set of fitness goals and healthy eating goals to go along with this. Hopefully I will figure out a way to track all of this that isn’t complicated.
Basically every 10 lbs is going to be a goal.
238 – pedicure
228 – manicure
218 – A good webcam
208 – The very expensive sports bra that I want
198 – A GOOD pair of workout shoes.
188 -
178 -
168 -
158 -
148 -
These have been left blank because I am not quite sure what I want to put for these goals. These ones are the major ones getting and staying in the 100′s. Anyone have any suggestions? I am almost thinking a trip to New Orleans for my goal but I have to be able to handle that one financially.
How do you break down your goals? How do you track them?

Initial Test Results
Wow! Two posts in one day!! This is unheard of. OK well, it’s really not. I even warned you I’d be back today. It’s a super windy day here in Southern California. It reminds me of September and October with the Santa Ana type winds. I’m spending today without the noise of TV and will be celebrating earth hour this evening by turning off my computer and lights in my side of the house.
Well, I took my tests for the One Hundred Push Ups, Two Hundred Sit Ups and Two Hundred Squats tests.
Friday Wrap Up

My working out has been halted this week by the plague. OK, well it’s probably NOT the plague but it was strep throat. I went in to urgent care and they diagnosed me on Sunday. They had me stay out of work and everything. I was uber sad. I actually like my job. I guess I needed the rest though. I couldn’t swallow solid food for over 3 days.
This of course, means I’ve been off the gym routine this week. I go twice a week to my gym with my coworkers for a 45 minute workout that includes cardio and strength. I hadn’t been for a few weeks before that because one of the girls I go with is my boss and she’d been interviewing and was sick too.
This is one of the problems that i need to overcome in my weight loss and healthy eating goals. It is so easy for me to stop doing what I’m doing when something goes wrong. Yes, I know i mention this time and time again. This time I am going to do something about it. I know i needed to not be exerting myself and breathing hard with a sore throat but gym night starts back up next Tuesday. I’m going no matter what. If the girls can’t go I am going. If I’m tired, I’m STILL going.
So what is the one thing that you tend to do that messes with your healthy eating and weight loss goals? How do you overcome it?
