Goal Setting and Rewards System
So I’m not a spreadsheet or chart maker. I love looking at them but i haven’t the slightest clue how to do something like this. So, I am going to list my goals here. I am also going to list the rewards that I will give myself when I reach these goals.
I was thinking about this today and after reading a post by Jess on setting small reachable goals to get to your ultimate goal I was inspired to do my goal setting.
I started this journey at 248 lbs so I’m going to set my weight goals from there. These are just my weight related goals. I will have a set of fitness goals and healthy eating goals to go along with this. Hopefully I will figure out a way to track all of this that isn’t complicated.
Basically every 10 lbs is going to be a goal.
238 – pedicure
228 – manicure
218 – A good webcam
208 – The very expensive sports bra that I want
198 – A GOOD pair of workout shoes.
188 -
178 -
168 -
158 -
148 -
These have been left blank because I am not quite sure what I want to put for these goals. These ones are the major ones getting and staying in the 100′s. Anyone have any suggestions? I am almost thinking a trip to New Orleans for my goal but I have to be able to handle that one financially.

Inspiration Wednesday
So today is Wednesday and usually I’d just do a wordless Wednesday post but i have words today!
I’ll be posting a picture tonight though for those who are doing Mary’s #amerryworkoutpledge challenge. You will see my sweaty self right here on my blog. I’d do an iphone video but I don’t know how the other gym patrons would feel about this.
We’ll see.
I am inspired today! I ate within my calories yesterday even after splurging on a burger and fries. Remember how i told you this was my goal? To not deprive myself of the things I like? I ate healthy ALL DAY yesterday! I got the single burger with no sauce and ate all the veggies that came on it. I ate only half my fries and drank WATER! Next time i will get it in a lettuce wrap if I do it again. My tummy did not feel well after the fries though.
But I stepped on the scale (and this is an unofficial weight because weigh day is Mondays only for me,) and i was down another pound this morning!!!
My new mini goal is to hit 238 and to get a mani/pedi and eyebrow wax as a reward. When I hit 227 it’ll be the uber expensive yarn I want so much!
I’m going to make an inspiration chart. It’ll be kind of like when we were in grade school. I am going to put my goal weights in 10 pound increments and write the reward for the goal being met next to that. I will put a star and the date next to each that I complete. This is going to go right next to my vision collage and I will have smaller copies of each in my journal.
The other thing that is inspiring me is you all! I am so new to this and I have had so many people follow me on Twitter, read and comment on my blog and give me support. It is truly helping me to want to continue what I’m doing here. It means the world to me that you care about me getting healthy and meeting my goals.
Speaking of Twitter if any of you want to add me I am shrinkingamber on there. I should have a Twitter Button up within the next week plus subscribe and follow links for my blog. I’m a total novice at all of this bloggy design stuff and al the people who look like they CAN help seem to only work with blogger and I’m a wordpress girl.
