Resource: LoseIt! For iPhone

- Image via CrunchBase
Since starting my healthy eating and exercise i have tried many different things to track my calories and exercise. The one thing that I knew was i needed something easy to use. I will not deal with BS when it comes to recording this stuff. I was reading a blog, I can’t remember which right now, and the blogger had posted her charts from LoseIt! I saw that it was for the iPhone and I immediately went to check it out.
OK the number one thing is it is totally FREE! It tracks calories, gives yo ua budget based on what you weigh, and how many pounds you want to lose a week. There’s a huge list of foods in the database for tracking. This app also takes into consideration your exercise and adjusts your calories for the day accordingly.
You can find most any restaurant in here and you can find something close to what you’re looking for if it’s not. You can also add your own foods in. I always pick a higher calorie amount if I’m guessing. An example would be I ate at a local fresh Mexican food place today and the burrito I ate was similar to one at Baja Fresh. I used the BF chicken burrito as a gague and added a couple calories just in case.
The exercise tracker has tons of different exercises and again, you can add your own as well. When you exercise and input it into the app it will adjust your calories accordingly.
You can set the app to send you reminders if you are forgetful and don’t record often enough. You can set it to email you daily and/or weekly reports of how you’re doing. The website has a great support forum as well.
I’m really just scratching the surface of the wonders of this great app. You should really try it for yourself. What can it hurt? It IS free after all!
